"We made it so simple that a woman can use it". Was this slogan ever really used in advertising?

Question:
A variation of this line was said on "Mad Men", the new series on advertising in the early sixties. Does anyone know if it refers to a real campaign?

Answers:
I seriously doubt that even men in the "early days" of advertising would've been so profoundly stupid to have ever used that line for a product.

Me educated guess is that it's 100% farce. I know I've never heard of it, and I'm an ad geek.
It is likely a derivetive of "its so easy a cave man can do it" used in the Geico TV ads.
