Adsense click fraud?

Question:
About how many clicks does Google Adsense consider the clicks to be "clickfraud" ?

Answers:
Are you planning to do some clicking so you'd like to know how many will trigger their fraud alert? I suggest you not to even think about it :o)

Invalid clicks is a "catch all" term that they use, but it does not always mean that the publisher cheated. It can mean anywhere from clicking on your own ads, labeling the ads, inciting visitors to support the site and click on the ads, etc.

With regards to clicks, no one knows how Adsense detects fraudulent clicks, but given all the PhDs employed by Google, they would definitely have taken consideration of where the IPs of the clicks are coming from, the pattern of clicks, and the IP of the Adsense login -- among many other factors, I'm sure.

So if they see daily clicks of 5-10 (for example) coming from your IP address on a regular basis, that might trigger the invalid clicks filter. Or if they see that a certain percentage of the clicks are coming from the IP address that is also used to login to the Adsense account, then that can also raise red flags

You have to remember that the first responsibility of Google is to satisfy their advertisers, where the money comes from; and not the publishers. They need to protect the interests of advertisers at all cost. As a result, any clicks perceived to be less than above-board are investigated oftentimes leading to the cancellation of the account of the advertiser.

I suggest you really think about it and not even do it. Adsense is well known for kicking out publishers, and many have been kicked out for clicking on their own ads

ADDITIONAL INFO:

You mentioned Adlogger -- you do know that Adlogger no longer works with Adsense? Adsense made some changes in June that rendered Adlogger to be useless. As Adlogger themselves admit in their homepage http://www.adlogger.org/

------------------------------...
Unfortunately the development of AdLogger has been put to a halt. Due to some recent changes in the Google AdSense program, AdLogger has been rendered inaccurate and useless. Despite the best efforts to circumvent these changes and maintain a high level of accuracy, our developers could not come up with a solution.

I have a few adsense sites and my advise to you is this. IFYOU ARE THINKING OF CLICKING ON YOUR OWN ADS, DON'T DO IT!!
Your website, if properly set up and optimised has the potential to make you alot of money. Why risk getting banned by google by clicking on your own ads. Don't do it. You will find that if you structure and optimise your websites properly, and work within the terms of servise of google, your chances of success are much better
