We currently link to many sites and its been mentioned in passing linking our ebay shop to our myspace page and vice versa can do wonders for traffic and sales.
Has anyone else done anything similar to boost sales and traffic?
Which other sites are good for linking to webshops/ebay shops etc?

Your advertising and promotion, in any capacity, is the product of three factors:
- Money
- Brains / Talent
- Time
There is no way to cheat this, whatsoever. If you're short on money, invest more time and brains.
If that's your question (how do I invest more time and brains then, Charlie?) then go to half.com and buy yourself a copy of Guerilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinson.
Go on, quick. Time is going to mean a lot to you.
try to:
- make postings in the popular (relevant) forums
- do link exchange
- use Google's AdSense or Yahoo's similar solution (currently at beta)
try those sites which caters for music lovers. and try to make your ads convincing that will make buyers curious about that. good luck
All the anwsers above are good ... you should try some of them ... but you should also try some traditional methods of advertising, they are typically cheap and easy to do.
Use your vehicle(s) as a moving (or parked) billboard. Get your business name and web addresses on them so everyone can see (you'll be surprised at how many people will see it ... and it's free once you get it on). Go to http://www.greatlettering.com and design it yourself online. It's easy and cheap.
Post cards/Biz cards - spread them out everywhere you go. Include them (more than 1), if you don't already, in every package that you mail out.
Keep searching online for good site you can buy cheap banner ads on ... or join forums that you can share you ideas (and products) on.

To get a lot of traffic you need to use traffic exchanges. There is a link that can help you step by step with this in my profile.
They bring traffic fast and best of all it's free. It just takes a little of your time.
