Question:
I've found two sites that offer pretty cheap traffic.
100,000 Visits for $38.99 - immensehits.com
100,000 USA Targeted Traffic $77.00 - advertyz.com
Are these prices possible? Are they to cheap to believe? The sites look good and reputable? Has anyone used either of these services in the past?
Answers:
As a search engine optimization specialist,I know sites like that are just out to get your money.Even google PPC can not promise that.It also depends if you own your domain.
I would suggest that you get your own website domain and web hosting for cheap from sites like http://poppaproductions.net/websites.htm... .If you need some help with your website, feel free to contact me.I am an experienced search engine optimization specialist.
Please rate my answer so I can do better next time.

I wouldn't suggest that. If you're looking for an opinion, you should try AdBrite at http://www.adbrite.com, and use the interstitial advertisement service, it's much cheaper if you're just looking for views.
Good luck.
The prices are to cheap to believe and therefore they are unbelievable and I would not touch them with a barge pole. Waste of money. The best way for targeted traffic in my view is using traffic exchanges and if you want the strategy to make it work just send me an email and I will return a blog url that explains all. I have managed to get 5,000 hits a day if not more using my method and sales have increased exponentially with the visitors.
You do not need to pay for it. Learn SEO, search engine optimization. In fact, people in the know suggest that you do not pay for it but do it yourself.
No, they might use robots - not real people. It is important to have real people to visit your website. I've never heard of these companies though.
Someone above mentioned the interstitials - don't use them, they are a pain in the butt. Interstitial advertisements are advertisements that pause the page for a few seconds while an ad appears. After the few seconds, the person then arrives at your web page.
If you are looking for traffic immediately (and in the long term), you should go for a Pay Per Click with Google or Yahoo - that way when someone searches for your site, you will be seen at the top or at the right hand side. I have a service with ineedhits (http://www.ineedhits.com) - they have a Google Advertising Professional (who passed an Advertising Exam set by Google) who is one of the Google and Yahoo Easy PPC Campaign Managers, and he is pretty good so far.
Doing things in the long term such as optimization is good - but there are no guarantees with this even if you spend tonnes of money in the long run. No search engine marketing company can guarantee you the top spots unless they own or control Google or Yahoo or MSN themselves!
They are pop-under ads or "interstitial" ads and they are NOT effective. They have almost NO conversions, so they are a waste of money, They do make visitors see your site, but they leave your site mad for the intrusion.
Learn seo, and adbrite is ok if you buy text ads on sites that are similar to yours or have the same demographics that your site is targeting.
Do not try to sell gardening equipement on a gamers site. You WILL waste your money. But you probably can sell ringtones on a gaming site! Understand?
Advertising on the net is about Targeted traffic. Get someone who already has an interest and your conversions will be good.
Do not try google or yahoo ads until you understand internet marketing, hire a pro like mentioned above, or are ready to lose some bucks learning.
Common sense, That is all!
Stay FAR away from those types of offers. Very often they are serving pop under ads, which are pretty ineffective. But anything at that low of a price will be useless traffic. What you want is targeted & relevant web traffic (not "hits" or random visitors).
You would be better served by spending that money on a paid advertising campaign through Google, Yahoo, or MSN. This was you can see when people actually click through to your site and know that they were people actually searching for a related product or service.
Instead of paying for so-called "cheap traffic," why not begin with SEO of your opening webpage. The following is a discussion which may prove helpful to you.
The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is to first set up a website and publish its domain name on major search directories such as Google.com, Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?... and MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these search directories to provide them with goods and services. In a sense, these search directories are a very large Internet Yellow Pages.
Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using such "generic" queries will not be able to discover your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website, in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.
You may want to consider some simple algorithms which, when observed and committed in designing of a website with placement of various critical metatags that can surely achieve a high search engine presence and increase Internet traffic to your website. These metatag strategies work well with published webpages at Google and Yahoo.
Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based website, make sure to fill-in the property entries such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the Internet audience and their incoming setup. For example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages take too long to load up and therefore analog users will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple question, "Who's my end user - is he on dialup or DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users for maximum marketability, then select analog users since 80% of most resident users are still analog Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages is best for them.
A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text, is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.
Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots are unable to properly classify textual material.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which should consist of no more than 65 characters separated by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which best describes one's goods and services.
And the very last category - "Keywords" are also somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which is defined as the loading, and submission of repetitive words into a particular metatag category. "Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported to Google's spamreport.com can result in the elimination of your website from their search directory.
Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on Yahoo.com: Begin with the search query "pizza downtown los angeles." It will bring up some 1.4 million+ websites as results. Check out where "Pizza Next Door" is ranked. It's in the Top Five! Again, Pizza Next Door's high web presence was achieved by proper web design and placement of relevant metatags according to Yahoo's publication guidelines.
Good luck!
