Question:
I need to learn how to make a site where to get one for free how to sell my things and how to get them to the people. I NEED HELP!
Answers:
What you need is a big dose of skepticism. Don't worry, I've got one you can use! Hahaha :)
First off, what are you selling? WHO BUYS IT AND WHY?
Why would they buy it online?
Why would they buy it from you?
Why would they buy it from you online? Don't delude yourself about this question. Marketing on the internet is a REALLY bad idea for most small businesses, especially exclusively.
You can't get a web site for free (not one worth having anyway) and the internet is a marketplace dominated by tyrants- you can't just walk in and open up shop and people will walk past and see you. Not anymore.
More people than ever shop for stuff online now, so publicity on the internet is very valuable. And people who understands its value hold that publicity for ransom, including listings that aren't paid in advertising dollars (they're still bought and sold, just not by advertisers. By SEO companies instead. You can't be a serious competitor for anything without SEO, and some things you can't even with it.)
One thing is clear: you don't have the slightest idea what you're doing. You don't even know what you don't know. That's okay, everyone starts there- but you shouldn't launch any kind of business venture without knowing that.
I'd say the next step for you is to get a job at a small business (prefrerably in sales) and see how they do it. They will show you EVERYTHING you need to know, most of all how to actually sell things and not get caught in a pipedream of easy dollars coming in through the internet.
You need a program that will help you step-by-step. I had the same issues and now have 3 websites- mostly because I love this one so much and they help you through every step of the way. There are lots of people to ask questions to if you don't understand their instructions. It's called Site Build It. Here's their link: http://buildit.sitesell.com/8906.html... You can have any kind of website you want. They even have a program called Store Build It! Good luck!
There are a lot of people setting up sites to sell their items online. Some succeed, some do not.
The key is to figure out how to set up your webstore in such a way that you provide a hand-selected customer niche with something that drives them wild and makes them want to buy it.

Start a blog (special type of website) at blogger.com. It is simple, free , you will learn a lot and make a packet.
what kind of things are you selling? it might be better to sell them through an already established site - like etsy.com (for handmade things) or ebay (for everything else) - that way you can easily find an audience without doing a lot of online advertising. and you don't have to know anything about web design. after awhile you might get regular customers and through them and word-of-mouth you can be successful enough to make it through your own website.
I would check out community colleges to see if they have seminars on web design. if you want a free site, it's going to have advertising on it and not look as professional. if you want a truly professional site, you should pay for a site and buy your own domain, you can do that through geocities on yahoo. You should also get a web design program on your computer like Dreamweaver and Microsoft FrontPage.
honestly, making your own website would probably be way too much time and money if you are starting out. start with ebay or etsy.com or another site like that.
