Yes it is, if that means, having your logo, your own branding. It gives you an identity and seperates you from the unprofessionals. It makes you stand out and taken seriously.
Yes, go for it but make sure, you choose an option where VISTA doesn't put their logo on back of your envelope. You got a good idea there mate.

Branding is an excellent idea. However, it is imperative that you go through a 'real' printer and not this or any other company that insists on tagging on their own logo. Find someone locally to print them for you.

- make sure yours is the only logo,
- make sure it looks really professional!
Two more tips, if you're going to do a mailing:
- use real stamps, people will look at the envelope more carefully, and are also more likely to open it than if you simply get them bulk-franked at the post office
- if you are a small company, and want to look exclusive / special, hand-write the addressee's addresses on the front (use NEAT handwriting, no calligraphy...) or if you are a bigger business, or want to look bigger than you are, print the addressee's addresses - don't use labels / stickers!
