'Shopping around'. I didn't know what I wanted to do after high school so I did a couple of courses at TAFE ( college) and found that I really enjoyed nursing and now i'm studying nursing at uni to become a registered nurse.
I work in Radio, Ive been doing it since high school. Music is my life and I really enjoy doing computer stuff, going to shows, promotions, Its the most stressful and most fun job Ive ever had. Ive been doing it for 7 years now. I just took something i loved and tried to do things in that field, and it worked out.
I was sick of my old job. My friends works where I work now and suggest that I come get a job with him. Which I did. I worked there and fell in love with the job. I'm a cable Tech/ trouble shooter. I enjoy solving other peoples problems and working on my own. I just love it. And the money is good too.
I got shoved into working in fast food way back when I was 17.

I've been working in Food ever since and LOVE it!

I would never recommend it to my children and would prefer them to stay in school and pursue something that gets them farther in life, but I know I'M happy, so if they do as well as I did in *that* area, then so be it...
I tried a lot of different things till i found something i liked and enjoyed doing.I've done things i didn't like just for the money but found my way back to the one thing i actually enjoyed.

i wanted to do something I loved and get paid for it. I always liked writing, so I put my energey into stringing words together, then eventually got hired at a newspaper and went on to write jundreds of features for other publications and magazines. I'm semi retired (at 56) and I spend my time doing things I love - writing, editing, desktop publishing and phtotgraphy - whicih was another passion I aways had. Look to your heart and God will lead you. goodluck.
