If you want to be a computer engineer, then pursue the career with all you've got.
That means you're the guy who's willing to be there whenever, the times when everybody else is whining.
You pay your dues by being available, by going beyond what is called for, by always making absolutely sure the job is done right.
And pretty soon, you'll be the guy making up the work schedules.
