Question:
I am the Secretary for a Christian School Parent Teacher Fellowship.
I am writing to see how to find corporations supply any free donations or products to our annual fund raiser event. We have an event for the school children and we give out prizes for participation. We are a tax-exempt organization. I do have a copy of our 501C3 if necessary.
Any advice would be really helpful. I am also contacting local business'.
Answers:
Your school children's working and business-owning parents are probably your best way to get the information to the companies. Being a business owner, I would be much more receptive to helping your school if one of my employees asked me to help.
My company can help you raise some money year round for no cost.

You need to approach businesses that openly advertise themselves as "Christian"...no other business (unless they are just stupid!) would leave themselves open to the criticism supporting one religion over another would lead to. You also need a business that only caters to Christians, otherwise you risk offending (and driving away) all their non-Christian customers.
But think about it, where in your bible exactly does it suggest you take money from corporations?
I would have your committee members solicit area business for gift certificates/free services. Many businesses (especially small locally owned) are very helpful in the area to support local non-profits. They enjoy showing that they are involved in their community. And I completely disagree with your 1st answerer. Christian or not, many people enjoy supporting local organization in their community.
