Question:
So, is Wal-Mart good for America? How does China factor into the equation? How did Wal-Mart become the most successful company on the planet? Is it just good old plain capitalism, or should something be done?
Answers:
Wal-Mart is good for the middle/lower class people because it makes things affordable. However, most of its things now come from China and other places. Due to Wal-Mart bullying manufacturers to make products below a certain price, they had to turn elsewhere when the companies couldn't make it. Unfortunately, a lot of jobs have went overseas due to companies finding it cheaper to operate outside of the US.
From a customer's point of view, Walmart is good because he/she gets cheaper goods. China figures into equation because it manufactures almost all of those cheap items.
Walmart because successful because of "Socialistic Capitalism" (I am not sure if there is any phrase like that). It sold cheaper goods to people by arm-twisting companies making consumer goods and procuring goods from China (where they are produced at a much lower cost than US.
