What is the difference between EBIT and operating results?

Question:

Answers:
Definition is often different with companies. EBIT is earnings before interest and taxes. Some companies use EBIT to report operating results. Operation results are certainly before any unusual charges if there are any. Some report operation results of an operation is sometimes before any corporate management allocation also.
I assume you are talking about cash flow in the operating results. If that is the case, it is a very short answer to a potentially complicated question. EBIT does not back out depreciation (primarily) and cash flow adds it back in as it is a non-cash item.
