I guess this can be answered depending on the experience of the individual involve. For me, as an affiliate marketer, I get more traffic from Google than from Yahoo.
This alone is enough for me to concentrate my SEO marketing more on Google than for Yahoo. And I think generally, Google is more reliable than Yahoo - while Google is going from strength to strength Yahoo is declining and more and more searchers trust Google more than other search engines.
