Answers:
Equanimity is the basis for all realizations of love and compassion. We must be equal to friends, enemies and neutrals, though it is extremely hard to do this. This is an exercise in impermanence and also challenges the way we hold some near and hold some others away. We can also look at this life, and see some have been our dear friends and now are our enemies - or our enemies are now our dear friends and we are sad to be apart from them! This would improve our society tremendously if we could treat one another equally. Tremendous benefit would come to those who feel oppressed and people would see the benefit of education and peace! War and terror and all of these things must be abandoned and so much aggression is totally unnecessary. I am not saying that it won't take much concerted effort but it is entirely possible!
