large company and I wondered if I should overlook the common complaints that were listed, because if you are that large then it is inevitable that mistakes will be made. What do you think?

The Better Business Bureau is not a great place to find information out about a business.
The listen to complaints about businesses and then put it into their "files." They cant make the company do anything about the complaint, they dont check the legitimacy of the complaint.
The simple thing to do is to put the purchase on a a credit card, therfore if you have a problem with the company you can let your credit card contest it with them
