How long have you been in business and how long did it take to turn a profit?

Im not a big eBay seller but making money on there seems to shift alot (like the stock market). My feedback is only a 112 but I have sold quit a few items. Sometimes things sell really well so I will buy more of the exact same thing from the manufacture and they wont sell at all. I dont know what it is but some weeks are just luckier than others. My tip is the buy things as cheap as possible so that if they dont sell or sell very cheaply then you wont loose much. Or perhaps you will just break even. Im still learing myself more tips and tricks and becoming a better seller so im still not sure how to make LOTS of cash on there. Oh yes A BIG INVENTORY is great. I am currently running out of things to sell. Name brand is the way to go! It sells the best.
My friend Lisa and I are in an EBAY business for 4 years. We buy low (thift store, goodwill, used book stores) and sell high. You know sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't. You made a profit the first month lost in the next 2 abd then made a profit in the 4th month-we net (not grossed) $15,000 in the first year
