Is it acceptable/normal/expecte... to travel 650mi.or more for a management position job interview?

Question:
I'm an applicant for a management position in a FL based co. Is it normal for them to ask you to travel long distances for an interview? I hate to waste time and money simply to be a convenience to them. I feel like I'm being tested. Is there any reason to believe I'm in the top 3 for this position? If you don't KNOW about this sort of thing please don't respond.

Answers:
If they are inviting you it's typical they pay. Especially, for a management position.
It is not unusual. Typically you cover the costs of the first interview. Travel expenses for additional interviews are typically picked up by the company.
unless you are looking for a job in that specific location or for that specific company. i wouldnt go unless they were willing to pay for your travel expenses
