What does a hedging firm do??

Question:

Answers:
It's called a hedge fund. Traditionally hedge funds raised capital and used the capital to play the inefficiencies in the maket by "hedging" their positions. They would take opposite positions in different markets.

Now they act more like traditional funds but take larger positions and with less diversification. That is why some of them are running into problems.
