What are the best places for a loan officer to work?

Question:
What types of areas are best for a loan officer to work in hence the current state of the market right now?

Answers:
This is just a guess but I would say "refinancing all of those people who got bad loans"
A bank.
A bank.
sales technique and product knowledge are the places I would start. not the answer you were looking for, but if you want to survive, this will help. the market is bad, and the weak are starving. it doesnt matter where you work, if you're good. just somewhere that you can count on leads, or referrals.
Try a mortgage broker that specializes in government loans. This September (heard thru the grapevine), FHA should have 40 year fixed mortgages available. Just a hunch and really worth looking in to.

Plus, FHA loans are more forgiving when it comes to credit issues and allow for higher back end ratios. I have a hunch that these loans will be very popular for refis very soon with what is going on in the subprime market.
