They're checking to make sure that they're not taking a big risk by renting you a place. If you have a history of missing payments to organizations you owe money to, that indicates that renting to you would likely mean that they wouldn't get their rent checks on time, or not at all, and that they would be better off renting to individuals who have histories of making bill payments consistently and on time.
They cheak (sic) HARD for misspellings in the application process. Beware!
They *could* run a credit check for credit history, but they'll get more of the information they want from a rental verification from your prior addresses.
These verifications ask if you were late on payment, ever destroyed property, were disruptive, if they would accept you back, etc...
I think they "cheak" for steady employment and bills paid on time.
They check to see if you have excessive late payments or if you had a eviction and also they will talk to your last landlord to see if you were a good tenant
I know most of them only care about evictions, because that shows u can't pay your rent on time and most likely they rent to u..
They pretty much have you sign a document and this is giving them the right to check your credit report. They look at bills payed on time, eviction history, and pretty much everything.
