How does a creditor pulling credit report affect your credit?

Question:
How often can you pull a report without negative consequenses?

Answers:
It depends, actually. Too many are called "excessive inquiries", and can affect your FICO. How many is too many is a good question. It depends on who's pulling them. If you're applying for 6 new credit cards it can hurt you a lot! If you're shopping for a mortgage, then it hurts a whole lot less. Good luck.
