If you've been paying your mortgage, you need to contact them and ask them about it. You can often get it cleared up that way. I had my identity stolen and someone got a mortgage in my name in another state.It took a bunch of phone calls to clear it up, but, you don't want to let that be. If it's not even your mortgage company, call the reporting agency that has that registered and ask about how to get that removed from your record.
