Question:
As many seem to be...I am suffering and so confused over my credit and what I should obligate myself to pay off, or just let be. Currently I have 8 closed accounts in good standing, 3 negative accounts (2 of which are charge-offs). I also have about 4 bills that I owe $500 or less on (one of which is a charge off) and I just don't know what to do. I want to improve my credit score so bad. But, I don't want to stress or get myself even further behind trying to pay off everyone. With that said.I would say that my debt is in between $5,000-$6,000. Could someone help me PLEASE? I hate getting the run-around on this important issue.

Don't close any more accounts. That can hurt your credit score. Continue to pay your debts. You should concentrate on paying the one with the largest interest rate off first, while paying the minimum on the others. Once you pay off the first one move on to the next one with the highest interest rate. You will be suprised how fast you can get these paid off. get a budget (see daveramsey) focus on keeping ur family secure . they won't throw u in debtors prison any more. remember most millionaire went through what ur going through and survived. Learn to live on cash and increase ur cash earnings or be like to working poor.
