I had suncom approx 3-4 years ago I cancelled my account with them. about 2 years latter cingular bought them out and now they call me wanting me to pay twice what was owed. They keep telling me it is a cingular account but I never had cingular I had suncom and was finished with suncom before they bought them out. They told me when I asked for a copy of the contract they said my phone was the contract? Im like but I never had a cingular phone. Don't they have to prove I owe cingular money? I'm so confused I still have my last bill from suncom that was paid I do not have the check stub because it was so long ago but the bill was only 200.00 they want cingular says I owe 800.00 and they never said it is a old suncom account just that I owe cingular. should I just get a lawyer or demand they show proof I owe this by coming up with a contract? They have totally confused me.
