Answers:
Most lenders will no longer allow authorized users to count.
It still may help your score.and it's best to have family help you if you can, rather than paying for it.
This is not a good idea, especially with the release of this article:

Pretty soon, these authorized user accounts aren't going to mean much for your FICO score. You would be better off investing your money in getting a secured credit card for yourself. Or, if you need some credit repair or rebuilding tactics, feel free to visit http://www.creditboards.com/forums...
