Do you lose benefits when you move out but are still under the age of 21?

Question:

Answers:
It depends on the state in which you live, and the insurance plan under which you are covered. If your parents cover you under an employer plan, then you need to check the plan to see what it's guidelines are. For instance, my employer has two basic plans-one is a union plan and dependent children are covered until they are 19 or 23 (if they are a student). The other plan is 20 or 26 if a student. State guidelines vary; Indiana says 23, for non-ERISA plans, but the individual employer plans can override this as long as the change is to an age over 23.

Washington, Indiana, and the US territories are also passing laws this summer for non-ERISA plans that will allow parents to add children upon request, up to age 24. (A non-ERISA plan is usually state, government, church, school)
Technically, as soon as you turn 18, your parents don't have to do anything for you at all...in the eyes of the law, you are an adult...old enough to die for this country even.
I assume we're talking about insurance.. Health? Technically no, you're not covered if you move out and are under 21.. unless you're still enrolled in school. If you are, you're covered until you're 25.
Now that you have moved out, you need your own health insurance.
