Question:
i already got the offer and accepted it from a new job with better pay, benefits and convenience to my home. it's taking everything i have to stay here at the one i'm at today. the new job starts on Aug 13th. i kinda need a vacation. should i walk out and quit?
Answers:
Yes.
I think it would be normal to take a few days or a week between jobs. But don't just walk out. Just ask your current job if you can leave a little early. they probably will say yes. Why would they care?
I would give your current jobs about a week notice. That way you aren't leaving on bad terms. You might need them for a reference at some point in time.
I can't blame you. It makes you look really bad, though. Whatever you do, make sure you don't burn any bridges!
Even if you hate your current job, don't burn your bridges. You never know who might be your boss in the future. Ask if you can leave earlier than the date you gave..or have you given notice yet? If not give them a date a week or so before your start date at your new job. I wouldn't just walk out, you may need them for a reference later down the line.
you already have a new job, unless it is going to put your current employer in a bind i would just tell that you want a vacation between jobs and you won't be back to work for them, ever.
up to you, but I wouldn't
remember this that what you do at this job will go on your work record you might need it one day.. in fact there is always a chance that you might need to go back to the company you work for now and ask for a job if so you will not want them to see you quiting and leaving them in a pinch
