A question on ICICI American Express credit cards?

Question:
I want to buy some books using my ICICI Amex credit card from US. How much do they charge for $ transaction? Will it be just

Num of $s multiplied by $ Value in Indian Rupees?

Answers:
It's always easy to buy anything if you hold any international credit card of any bank, but keep this in mind that every bank charges charges some % of your billed amount as " Foreign Currency Transaction" charges.

So for ICICI Amex charges will be the foreign currency amount multiplied with the exchange rate of the currency at the particular date & add 3.5% as the foreign currency transaction charges.

Dipak
Call your nearest ICICI customer care services and ask them for the exact transaction charges. Nothing comes free of charge ! Alternatively, if you have time go to your nearest ICICI bank and talk to the branch manager. He will definitely assist you with the right information.
