Question:
MyPetWeb.net is launching a membership organization that will post rewards for missing pets. The first concept was to have the organization be a non-profit that would post 100% of the reward for it's members and match amounts for non-members. The problem is that with a non-profit organization you need a lot of help and donations, especially to get started. I'm wondering if the issue of missing pets is important enough to people to push them to action. So the question, restated is, Should a member organization whose purpose is to post rewards for missing pets be a non-profit?
Answers:
This is not a question of "should". If you want to engage in activities to fund your operating costs - no. If you want to rely solely on donations - yes.
