does anyone know how you would go about opening a day care? education requirements? age limit of person opening it? etc... any info will be greatly appreciated...as long as it's accurate and not b.s
Answers:
You can work a 4 child daycare where you work from home is that what you mean if so call cent relink and the will put you in touch with the right people other wise go to the small business Enterprise centre its an organisation run by the government to help people get there businesses of the ground and its free or you can look into the neis program where they pay you $420.tax free money for one year to start up your own business you have to do a 8 week course in business management and if you pass go for it .
Your question is hard to answer for several reasons, One is your state laws, and what type of daycare you want to open. Most require very little education with exception to dietary guidelines, cpr, and basic first aid. If you open a full operation, your building will have to meet fire code, and health dept code since you will be preparing meals for others. Health and fire will require a fire extinguisher(s), a triple basin sink, and a mop sink. Your water quality will be tested, unless you are on city water. You and your employees will have to submit to a fingerprinting, and criminal background check. The state will also send a person, usually from the dept of human services that will come check your facility as well, along with monthly checks of facility conditions. if you open a home daycare, the only difference will be the sinks that you are required to have. Good luck, taking care of children can be very enjoyable, but very trying at the same time. especially dealing with some of the parents.
