I am at a loss. I like the small business/entrepreneurship thing, but I also have a naturally deep nature. Is it possible to mix these fields in a creative way, or is business and philosophy at odds till the death?

Well they're both ideas so you can mix them there. You can apply philosophy to business, many do.
I think you're trying too hard and seeing way too big of a gap.
Why don't you start a business where you hold salon style discussions of philosophy? Or gives philosophy seminars to interested people? Since you don't have any reputation you'll need to find a hook.
