Hi people , i montior my credit report monthly for changes and stuff , Today I got a civil claim judgement from the nyc tax commission for 399 now my credit score went from a 730 to a 598 . But i never owed tax what should i do to clear this it says date filed 3/2003 and now years later its on my credit report

Answers:
Get with the assessor's office and get the incorrect judgement corrected. Such a thing is just about unheard of for taxes.

Contact the credit bureau and advise them there is an error and dispute it immediatly; ask them to advise when the tax office has fixed the issue.
