Anybody know how childcare vouchers work?
Hi - I've just gone back to work as a teacher in a school in Wales after maternity leave and hadn't realised till now we could be entitled to childcare vouchers. Anybody get them? How do they work? Are they available everywhere? Any info/advice appreciated - Thanks.

You will need to check that your ed authority is registered with a voucher provider and then you orgainsie it through your payroll. They are all much the same, you arrange to get a certain value instead of pay (they are tax free) and then you make sure that your childcare provider is registered to accept them. This is not a difficult process, they can cash them really easily.
