84 year old pensioner...going to live abroad (Europe) with family.?

Question:
What does she have to do about getting medical care in her new country? She has always lived in UK and so has paid all the NHS contributions etc.

Answers:
As she is a pensioner, she will not have to pay for medical treatment, it is free for pensioners under the reciprocal health care agreement. She will also be able to have her pension paid in the country she is moving to.
she will have to pay for it at the time of receiving it..nothing like NHS abroad...hope you have plenty of cash.
Prob best to contact NICO for non residents. Their number is 0845 915 4811 or from abroad +44 191 203 7010. She may need a certificate to show that she is fully paid up. I think they start with E, like a E301 for example.
